Frond is a female badger who appears in the book Battle for the Park. She stumbles across Badger's set when she is looking for a new home after the brown rats drive her and her family out of her old set. She takes care of Badger by bringing him food, and he allows her to stay in his set in return. Frond also helps the other animals fight off the rats in the final battle.
Badger had previously met Frond's mother in the book In the Path of the Storm. He discovered that she and her family had moved into an old set that he was planning to live in after his old set was destroyed by a tree in the great storm. Frond later reveals that she was in the set at the time, but she does not physically appear in the book.

While she does not appear in the TV series as Badger dies before the events of the "In the Path of the Storm" and "Battle for the Park" televised into Season 3 as opposed to being alive in the books. She is replaced by Shadow, a Badger whom Bold met earlier. Unlike Frond she appears as an adult before the battle with the rats. Like Frond though who is younger than her mate Badger, Shadow seems to also be younger than her mate Hurkel (although that was never confirmed) as he took Badger’s pace as an elder while Shadow was never considered an elder.
